TOUR MANY OF THE BEAUTIFUL AND HISTORIC CITIES OF ITALY
Your tour begins in Rome where you will visit many of its famous antiquities: the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. And no trip to this ancient city is complete without a visit to the Roman Forum and the Colosseum. While in Vatican City, tour the many museums and witness Michaelangelo's magnificent Sistine Chapel. In Florence, you and your group can tour the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and visit the Church of Santa Croce, final resting place of many of Italy's most historic figures, including Michaelangelo and Galileo. In Venice, you will travel via water taxi to St. Mark's Square then visit the Basilica di San Marco, the 15th-century Clock Tower, and the Bridge of Sighs. Then it's off to Padua and Verona, the setting for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, then finish your tour in Milan where you will see the La Scala Opera House, glass-domed Galleria, and the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, home of Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. You will leave from Milan for your return to the United States.
